Don't you just hate this? You have to click on the 'next' link many times to get to the latest posts in a discussion. I'm going to complain about it to the administrators here and see what they can do about it. It's just not right to show the oldest messages first.

Besides that, we have another age old problem here in case you haven't noticed and a fix is on the way too. I found out after many months of back and forth discussion with the admin of this site that our web page was set up under the 'city' government listing. If you look on the front or first page of our site here you will notice the links on the left of government links are referring to city stuff. Well, we are in the county. I've finally got it across to the admin that we need this changed. They fully understand the situation now and are willing to make the change for us but, it will change the URL link name to get here from http://www.neighborhoodlink.com/tampa/bellavista/   to something like this,

www.neighborhoodlink.com/hillsborough/bellavista/

So, we are in the process, I say we, the Board and I are going to register a domain name of 'HOABV.COM' and the long URL above will be forwarded to the short name, www.hoabv.com. It will simpler to type in. But, you can bookmark and or use either name to get here. Matter of fact, did you know that you can register several or as many names as you want to pay for and forward or point them all the your URL? Yep. It's that easy. Now to see how to get this paid for. It'll cost us less than $30 for two years for this service. Okay, now I have to get busy but be ready for the name change.  Cool

I'm am testing to see if this post comes up as the first post under the original post of this discussion by replying to the last message or post that was posted. Got that? Not sure if I do, well, yes, I do know what I am doing, I think for the most part.

Today I was finally able to get the www.hoabv.com domain name to work only after being on the phone with GoDaddy techs for over an hour. I didn't understand what they were trying to tell me how this works even though I've set this up for several other domains in my lifetime of working on the web. Each time is a challenge to get it working on my own, which never happens. I can only say that it is because I don't do it often enough is why. I'm always so elated each time I enter a new domain name into the browser and up pops the web site. Now to get the new URL or web link out to everyone is the next challenge. The job of the webmaster is to make the web page easy to get to and fun to use. It's a tough and challenging job but it's also for too and that is why I do it. It also keeps me on the edge of technology playing with this stuff.

For those that say they are bored with nothing to do I say you just don't know where to look. It's right in front of your eyes. Get busy, create something, a web site maybe.

Nope, doesn't make a difference where you reply, it will end up at the end as the last post. This post is on the fifth page. I had to keep clicking 'next' until I got here. I can't say that I like this but there appears nothing I can do to change this. The latest replies I get from the people who control Neighorhoodlink is that they are working to make a pay web page that will have all the bells and whistles with more features than this free portion or section they offer. I'd have to be given a demo or something before I would recommend paying for something that is not used very often by many people. Of course the goal is to make it inviting enough where people will want to come and use it and pay for it too. Icing on the cake. I'll stop now. Enjoy your day!
