I had to keep clicking 'next' until I got here.

You can of course also click on the number for the last page - a bit to the left of the "next" link.  That allows you to skip directly to that page.

However, you may also find it makes a lot more sense to click the  "new discussion" button: http://www.tarrall.org/images/startnew.png

when you have a new update, rather than posting every new update as a reply to your previous update.  That's the way most folks use the discussion area, and you'll find that your new posts are always at the top of the list.

Hope this helps -

Robert, I did just that this time and got here quickly. On your suggestion of just starting a new discussion for each update, I was under the impression that we are only allowed 20 discussions. If so, what happens when we click to start the 21st discussion, do we lose the oldest discussion?

There are an unlimited number of discussion topics per neighborhood.  Sorry if this wasn't clear!  The "20" number you're thinking of might be that we start with 20 pages worth of discussions (160 topics).  However, if you have more, more will show!  Our discussions in Muscatine, IA are up to 193 pages (over 1500 topics) and growing...

So no, you won't lose older discussions.

I'm not clear on how a site starts off with 20 pages of discussions/160 topics. When I started this site there were no pages or discussions. I had to add one at a time. Topics? Aren't topics the same as discussions?

I'm not sure I want to start a new discussion with every post. Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of a discussion? Not only that but you would then have endless pages of discussions. I don't think users want to weed through page after page of discussions to find what they want either. I'm still having trouble following the logic of this site and how best to make use of the discussion area. Topics? I'm scratching my head here.
