Welcome to the Mingo Estates Civic Association website! This page will be a constantly changing work in progress, and ultimately will be a place where our friends and neighbors can gather together to discuss issues that matter to us, learn about upcoming events, or just say hi to each other online. Eventually, I hope to have each issue of the newsletter available online, as well as access to the MECA constitution and bylaws.
For information about meetings and other events, follow the link to Community Calendar. Be sure to check it regularly for updates.
Also, before posting, please be sure to read NeighborhoodLink's Terms of Service agreement. This site is hosted *free of charge*, so we need to follow their TOS guidelines. Any posts which are inflammatory, hostile, or otherwise violate NeighborhoodLink's rules will have to be pulled. If a discussion gets heated, please remember to attack issues, not people. Also, bear in mind that these pages can be viewed by ANYONE, including our children, so let's keep the language appropriate.
Finally, I'd encourage everyone to follow basic Internet safety guidelines and be cautious about posting any personal information. For example, don't announce on the site, ''I live at 123 Anywhere Street, and I'll be out of town all weekend and my locks are broken, can someone keep an eye on my big screen tv?''
That having been said, welcome again! I hope that anyone who has any suggestions or contributions will send them my way. If there's something about the site you don't like or you think could be better, let me know. This site is for you, the Mingo Estates residents, and I want to make it as user friendly as possible. Come on in, fix yourself a cup of coffee, and enjoy the neighborhood!
