The Rapid alert system info is found on the BELD.com site. Kudos to MOM and TMM ..its not just for us lazy a** parents.

Its a town wide service for...oh hell...read the stuff here..http://beld.com/RapidAlert/Default.asp

and for the ''cranks'' it covers the following..

Hydrant flushing
School closings
Game cancellations
Tax bill due dates
Public safety issues
Electric, Internet, or cable television service interruptions
And here are the different ways you can choose to be notified:

Telephone (work, home and cell)
E-mail (including Personal Digital Assistants)
Fax (including Telecommunication Devices for the Deaf)

Now if it could only warn me when the inlaws are coming...

No more comments should have looked into things before you open your mouth and inserted foot. You call the parents lazy you couldn't even investigate what the service was about before you started babling and crying.
