do you know what a
spherical conversation is? well if you don't read up on it. you seem to have
the ability naturally. You conversationally rotate like a whirling dervish,
do you ever come to a rational conclusion or do you just continue until
you fall asleep?
You would, if more rational, make a good politician with tour natural and
torturous way with words.

I said it before!
Let the residents/taxpayers vote on what gets done in this town.
Have the town officials put together a wish list of what they want done, hold a special ballot to let the taxpayers pick our priorities.
Obviously X amount of $ is needed for the town to run.
The rest should go to what the priorities dictate.
We elect and hire these officials to run the town the way we want it run, not the way they THINK we want it run.
We taxpayers are their boss, it is time they answer to us instead of them telling us what we are going to do.

I like your idea but
we will spend half of our lives at town meeting,there simply too many of us and we must delegate or the whole thing will fail.What is truly needed is public service just like jury duty.
when your time comes you must as a civic duty serve as selectman or woman,school comittee member or what ever is needed.
Don't bother to apply for the job,remember just like jury duty,you serve your time.
