Town of Braintree

Selectman McAuliffe Must Go

Posted in: Braintree
Selectman McAuliffe voted last Monday in opposition of placing an override question on the April town election ballot. ''The town needs to perform due diligence'' he exclaimed. When was the last time Mr. McAuliffe performed anything? He was funded to his seat by Francis X. Messina and he works on the Greenbush T project and hasn't gotten his hands dirty once in his life and that includes changing his kids diapers! He served on BELD and perpetuated the ''give away the store'' mentality with them. He spews yawn after yawn yarns about not raising taxes, but he has zero answers how to fund (he and his colleagues voted to support) six new police and seven new firefighters that will cost us taxpayers nearly $700,000 to accomplish. He has to be voted out in April for he is not just an empty suit, but he's useless to Braintree taxpayers. Has anyone heard one constructive, thought provoking statement from either he or colleague Charlie ''I want to be able to be an informed voter'' Ryan. These farm hands are doing Braintree in. AT least let me vote yes or no on an override, Mr. McAuliffe for when you take my vote away, your are as bad as Georgie H.W. Bush in your actions. You know what's better for me than I do? Pathetic politicians such as you, Mr. McAuliffe, must be replaced.

I agree Bernie

Mr. McAuliffe has been on the Board for nearly 2 years now and it is now time for ''due diligence''. What has he been doing for the last two years besides filling a seat and spewing out a bunch of incomprehensible statements that have added zero value to the town. He should never been elected but the last couple years have shown the quality of the candidateis not what is important here it is how much they can line there pockets with special interest (a/k/a Messina) cash.
I hope this year people will vote more wisely.

This empty suit has to go. He wants everything and would lead you to believe he delivers everything to this town. He hasn't accomplished crap in his two years as a so called leader in the executive branch.

Voters unite and ask him: what have you done for us? what is your vision for this town? stop all your back door dealings and let us know how diligently you are working to find us the money. Mr ''due diligence'' lay out your agenda and tell us where the money is coming from. Make this empty suit go to a debate and tell us in simple language what he has done and how does he expects us to fix our roads, repair our infrastructure and provide services to our town through our departments. Time he got off his soapbox and actually demonstrates with facts what he can do to fix the mess this town is in.

if i may step in and clarify something for you. thse ''new'' positions you speak of are far from new. as for the 7 firemen, these are the positions that the town SCREWED them out of( in addition to the layoffs). they were at 88 men, are now at 81 men, and simply are seeking those 7 men back. if the taxpayers were smart they would fully support any increase in public safety!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
