TO REP VOTER
Your statement as to how diligently
he was working to find us the money!!??
I hope you were talking about your money
because you need to keep you grubby little fingers off my money. If you think that people should be paying higher taxes then pay them and leave everybody else alone.

McAuliffe and spending
McAuliffe is a consistent anti-tax zealot. At least you know where he stands.
I appreciate peoples concerns about public safety but I'm not sure we are in such dire straits. If you look at the details of the Globe study (available on their web site) of fire departments you will find that Braintree ranks number 25 our of 350 for response time, not too shabby.
There are significant inconsistencies in the three reporting periods as to the number of ?“fire incidents?”. Makes me wonder if when our Deputy Chiefs roam around town smoozing with their friends they count that as responding to an ?“incident?”. Maybe if we had fewer well paid semi-retirees on the force we could afford a few new hires.
While response time is above average our spending as a percent of our budget on fire is way above average #9 out of 350.
I?’ll tell you what?… When we have the ninth best response time in the state I?’ll consider supporting an increase in fire department funding. The numbers above tell me their getting more than enough dough already.
As far as police go we have an experienced force today now that we have seen many recruits of the last decade mature. Young cops usually bang heads with the youts in town. Who needs the grief? Let?’s make do with what we have.
Local tax payers cannot bear the burden of further property tax increases due to misplaced spending priorities at the state and federal level. Maybe if Dunkin Donuts and WalMart provided their employees with a health care benefit we could take the funds from that and put it towards public safety and education?

Darrin's A Fraud
I will not vote for McAuliffe and I would hope Braintree voters join me. He as vice chairman to Selectman would be next chairman. Heaven forbid! Darrin comes from Quincy politics. He is directly tied with Boston politics at the state house for sure. He works (????) on Greenbush project allegedly as ombudsman, but the guy is a fraud as a Selectman. He orchestrated Tom Reynolds into Water and Sewer with his buddy Charlie Ryan. We have a chance to dump this empty suitcase in April. If any person can give me a comment to show that Darrin is otherwise (spare me this nice guy crap), then here's your chance. Between Tim Egan, Joe Powers and Darrin McAuliffe, we can make a chance on our Selectmen by dumping the latter in April.
