As I have said in the past, if people want to know things they should go right to the source, instead of guessing,and going with ''what I heard'' Its very easy to crucify people when they themselves weren't present (especially in closed door meetings) but as always the RUMOR mill just keeps going round and round..Why didn't Beld customers have questions when the McGrath issue happened,everything seemed to fall on everyone besides McGrath and the mgmt within Beld, they were the ones that reaped all those freebies...its very easy to throw stones when they are taking a back seat..why not ask the powers that be at BELD why the cable rates go up, they were increased long before Beld mgmt got their pay increases.. Yes, the commissioners do have an obligation to oversee things, but it all depends on what facts (true. Tom has always been above board concerning Beld and I know he will do a great job as the ops mgr..

arn't you special. you spoke to the only three people in town that know anything, huh, and what makes them qualified to weigh in on this. must have been casey, dingee and shaw. three has beens, does not say much for you eric, does it now. M-17 is the rated position and we sure do miss the likes of him and big jim sullivan as a selectmen too. if the rumor has it taking over for the other two than what's lacking with his qualifications. as for hiring sweeney, right now it doesn't look like a bad move considering what we've been through since he left. mcgrath was guilty of ethic violations not tom. he got rid of mcgrath after catching him in a number of lies. mcgrath really wasn't all that he had us believe he was and the place seems to run pretty smooth with out him at that. the rumor i heard is the gm gave the managers the same longivity pay out the union got a total of less than $11,000.00. so what's the big deal.
