I was just wondering if the Fire Department was worth it today as they rummaged through a collapsed building looking for survivors. Were they worth their paycheck today. If you were under that rubble wouldn't you want someone there who would put their life on the line for you? Just wondering.....

They are always
worth it, the fire and police. They are called upon to risk their lives at times. The real question is what will the settlement be worth to the victims of this tragedy who will sue the town of Braintee? And the officials who would not sign off on the demolition of the structure that fell. You see the only part of that structure that was still standing was in Braintree. Braintee refused to allow it to be blasted down at the same time as the Quincy side. Quincy signed off and Braintree refused. My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims that were injured and the 1 confirmed dead, along the the one man still missing. It never should have happened and the contractors bear the blame. But I am sure Braintree will be seen as a villian also because the town said no to blasting this summer. Do not fight this one just pay and pray the town had a good reason to deny the demolition. A better reason than just trying to make life difficult dor Quirk.
