I would like to change the tone of my last post.
I truly believe the CPC deserves every penny it is able to raise. In fact, I tip my hat to them for doing such a fine job.
My deal is, if they are able to raise funding to this scope., then why cant monies be raised to fund the other needs of this town?
I would be more apt to contribute money to this town via a proposition 21/2 override or a debt exclusion or even writing a separate check if the town would allow me to direct exactly where my money was going. That way the taxpayer might feel more in control of what goes on in this town, rather than handing their hard earned money over to some stranger to spend on their own priorities.
Is this type of thing possible????
Or am I trying to live in a ''town called Perfect?''

Hello Correct ne,,
About yourfunds being misdirected.. In the past I had a problem here in town.. I suggested and wrote a check to have the problem resolved.. It was resolved.. Thanks to former selectman James Sullivan. . (may he rest in peace''.. ). Do not be afraid to put your ideas forward to the right people. Your request will surely be honored.. and if not.. Call the Attorney General of Massachusetts. and write to me.. I will help..

I would be more apt to contribute money to this town via a proposition 21/2 override or a debt exclusion or even writing a separate check if the town would allow me to direct exactly where my money was going.-----contribute to an tax, smooth
?—---------------so you want an override! An override isn?’t a contribution it?’s a tax increase!!
That way the taxpayer might feel more in control of what goes on in this town, rather than handing their hard earned money over to some stranger to spend on their own priorities.
---------------Give the money to you because you aren?’t a stranger, who are you?

Or am I trying to live in a ''town called Perfect?'' ---------too much t.v.

To Catchey Monkey
Hey Monkey,
Get it straight. I was only asking a question to someone that might know the answer. I'm not asking anybody for money. I dont want an override, debt exclusion or tax increase of any kind. But , I'm afraid eventually an override and/or exclusion is going to pass. If it does, I want to be able to direct where my share of the money is going. I think the town should let all of us control where our money goes. To me, it might make the increase a little less bitter to swallow. As far as being the one to start a fund, I, like 99.9% of the rest of us, am too lazy. I need to work two jobs (not complaining--lucky to have two jobs) and in my spare time I only worry about me and mine.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!!!!!
