See the article in todays'(12/6) Ledger regarding Comcast's pricing practices. What galls me most is that they do not offer the discounts in other towns or to current Comcast customers. Discounts are only offered to current BELD customers. (I have no connection to BELD other than sending them a check each month.)
If you are a current Comcast customer call - 1-800-COMCAST
and demand that you be offered the same pricing as your neighbors and that you will switch to BELD cable if they do not offer the price.

It's called competition!
If BELD can't compete, then they should shut down and let Comcast have the market. BELD is a non-profit and should be able to match any promotion they encounter. The Globe and Herald offer this exact type of promotion ALL THE TIME and no one cries foul. Wake up and view the real world. BELD should COMPETE, not COMPLAIN. Period!

BELD sucks
I think Comcast should sue BELD for trying to monopolize the market. Kinda like what Microsoft did. After all, BELD is non-profit right? So, what's the worry?

BELD does compete.....
BELD gives you low prices every day.
Lower than Comcast prices. Everyday.
What Comcast is doing is predatory pricing intended to drive out BELD.
If you insist BELD match Comcast pricing, eventually BELD will make the decision to fold up shop. They have to cover their operating costs and pay for the $3 Million outstanding bond they have.
Comcast's Braintree operations on the other hand do not have to turn a profit because they have the rest of their nationwide corporation to support them in their quest to drive out BELD.
BELD doesn't have such a deep till.
Remember.....YOU own BELD because YOU are a Braintree resident.
BELD isn't some obscure company doing business under the cover of darkness.
If you want to force BELD to compete against predatory pricing, eventually BELD will close up their broadband business and the residents will be stuck with the remaining of the $3 Million bond.
Then Comcast will have the monopoly.
I can hear the screaming now.
Hey...there's always DISH.
By I'm sticking with BELD
