Town of Braintree

awarding the tree contract

Posted in: Braintree
in the Forum this week town had to award the contract for tree trimming
and it was reported that town retained
council recommended against retaining
Colonial for lack of references.this company has provided years of service
to town without that and now for some reason is no longer considered worthy enough because council says and BOS
Voted to accept this because they fear
litigation.did they get work in the past because of some town connection?
or have they not kept up with the times?maybe dissatification with their
efforts?if we are going forward in a positive direction,by all means do it.
please don't let it be because mr. kokoros fears litigation. that's not
leadership;it's cover your rear flank.
leaders lead, they don't run. any party
involved here;lawyer,mr. grey, colonial, or mr. k please shed some light.this really is a town issue
worthy of discussion;online or in real time.thank you.just want constructive
please.

colonial

we had colonial do some major work on our residential property, & they were excellent. the only problem was they are so busy, i had to follow up several times in order to accomplish the job.
i would have them again if i needed tree work.
that's good to know

thanks for the input.hope there's more
to follow

Colonial is no doubt good, but

the contract has been bid twice already and for the second time has been thrown out because Colonial did not meet the spec's spelled out in the first two bids. Maybe they will get it right the third time. Only this time the low bidder will probably file an appeal with the AG and another black mark agianst the town is on the horizon.
