So come people want to impeach
someone who lied about an intern
but have no problem who lies
about WMDs?

There's a difference

A couple of things.....

First, Clinton made a bold-faced, knowing and willful lie. No doubt about it. He screwed around (numerous times with Monica)and then said he ''didn't have sexual relations with that woman.'' When he said it he knew he was lying.

In Bush's case, he relied on the best intellegence he had at the time. Itellegence that was corroborated by other county's intellegence; intellgence that not challenegd by Democrats looking at the same info. He took the info he was given and proceeded accordingly.

Now, if he believed there were WMD then he was absolutely correct in going into Iraq -- it would have been irresponsible to do otherwise.

But, if he knew the intellegence was wrong or incomplete and acted anyway -- then shame on him for going into Iraq. I'm not convinced that this was the case but I realize others (probably yourself included) believe that this is what he did.

Finally, get over it! Kerry lost, the people have spoken, W. is our President for 4 more years and there's nothing that's going to change that. Stop living in the past and lets get together to think about using our collective brainpower to solve problems rather than bitchin about history.

Consider this.

1. It is a fact that he had the weapons in the early nineties when he invaded Kuwait and we beat him back. The entire world knew it. The UN tried to get him to allow inspections for TEN YEARS. He EVEN POISONED his own people or did you forget.
2. He subsequently had 10 or 11 years to hide them, send them to Syria OR Libya or some other godforsaken Arab hellhole. Iraq is the size of California and if you think we have seen it all in the last year, you are mistaken.
3. When/if they are found, the Democrats will still be in denial, because it has nothing to do with WMDs, it has to do with losing the election AGAIN.
