Is there anything we can do to keep from being last on the list to get power?! I don't think I can stand another week and half without electricity. I know that Crescent Hill has their power back. They got it back last night.

Getting the power back totally depends on where the damage to the lines has occurred within the power grid feed out area. There is some damage within the City WLP none of which would have cause the widespread power outage in WP. Consequently, the power lines coming to the City have been damaged down stream. |

There is not an upstream problem, it's one transformer on the edge of WP. LGE is incompetent and will take 10 days to fix this. Windy Hills, Graymoor, Walden, and the shopping center all have power...thus there is no upstream issue, as all 3 sides have power.

I don't know anything about "upstream" issues, but that certainly sounds reasonable. However, a simple drive around this afternoon has demonstrated to me that we are surrounded "upstream" and "downstream" by neighborhoods that have electricity. So that doesn't seem like a likely explanation. However, honestly, does anyone really suspect that a company like LG&E has some kind of personal vendetta against Woodlawn Park? That, also, seems like an unlikely explanation. In the meantime, I'm enjoying all the neighborliness our recent weather has necessitated. |
