I have seen the award for ''Lawn of the Month'' in several places and they have been well deserving of the award. I think our Christmas decorations for the neighborhood were great. The folks that put that together did a great job and I am pleased our association cares that much about the entrance. All that said; I don't know why my street has to look as bad as it does and nothing is done about it. We have cars on the street, even cars that are not in operating condition. We have boats there for weeks. If we had an award for the most vehicles on the street, Yucca would get the award hands down. Do we have a homeowners association or don't we? I don't think the GHOA cares about problems like these and I think they need to start taking action. Forest Ridge takes action. They are enforcing the tow away of vehicles parked on the street. I don't want to hear that I need to participate and run for office if I don't like things as they are. What should happen is that those that have no business being members of OUR homeowners association stop running. They suck. I know because I went to meetings when I first moved here and was told that I should approach my neighbors and express my concerns. I could see us exchanging salutations in the morning as we go off to work and I express my concerns with every person on Yucca Park. Start with the newsletter expressing the problem, then post, then take action if homeowners don't correct the situation.
