My hubby is Castlegate on here if that helps you :-).  And which Shapinsay?  There are like 4 of them same with Whitehall, Rousay and a few others.  I live on a Shapinsay, but it's nice and clean, no overgrown yards...well there's one now but it still isn't all that bad by any means.  Oh no no wasn't directed at you, not at all.  Yeah just not sure 50 or 60 people would show up from post cards.  Fliers on mailboxes that remind them daily may be an idea though, would just take some time to tape them all up and then pull 'em down.

Ok, I agree with alot said on here. A while ago we spoke at the school, my wife wanted me to suggest to you and your husband about this site. I took his e-mail info and my wife sent him the info. We are very THANKFUL he did!!!! We also have the same concerns as all of you. Just because people might not  agree doesn't mean that they don't share the same concerns.NO I don't want my dues paying for other peoples yards.By the way after hounding the realtor for weeks they just showed up to do the yard,next door! I wonder if they will give me half the pay,since I sprayed the weeds and watered the plants? NOT!

Some neighbors, my wife & I did clean 2 yards on our street. We just put the trash in the vacant houses garbage cans. When we talked to the neighbors about it they said they had no idea it was going on. I have been to every meeting since they started, how many board members can say that? I am pretty sure the kachina boss said they would send out something about the event at the last meeting.
