I really do not appreciate people who blame new renters in the area for the problems in the neighborhood. My family has lived in castlegate for 3+ years and I have seen how people treat renters. Every neighborhood has their clicks, and I have no problem with that, but when they have their little pow wow's every weekend to talk about the stuff going on in the neighborhood and blame it on the renters that is not fair. Some of my good friends are renters and want to move because homeowners harras and intimidate them, call their landlords, board, etc. These people are hard working, honest, people who would just like to live in peace. They are not at the pow wow's, they stay inside and keep to themselves, because unlike their neighbors, they have better things to do. Personally, I would rather have renters than no one at all, that is just one less vacant home that is left for vandals, weeds, etc. Do me a favor if you are one these neighbor bashing people, leave them alone, what did they ever do to you?

I got news for you, it isn't just Castlegate that complain about renters it's most subdivisions because many, not all, but many renters could care less about the state of their property and have the "well it's not mine" attitude. Yes, I was a renter once and DID care, but most others around us did not and left the place in absolute shambals. I'm not saying all home owners care about their properties either, but home owners typically pay more plus they own it so they have a vested interest in keeping up their home and property where renters to not and eventually move on. And I don't know exactly where you live in Castlegate, but I have not seen nor heard of people having "pow wows" on weekends complaining about renters??? I sure don't go around making up "I hate renters" signs in my free time and I'm sure many others don't either. |
