I have seen a few political signs in peoples front yards.  I realize and understand that it is election season, but keep in mind the CC&R's prohibit signs in our front yards.  Page 17 paragraph 4.10.

Although I understand the purpose of such a rule, I think this is one rule that needs to be changed.  I sign size limit, and the reason for a sign could be impilmated.  I personally do not have a political sign in my front yard, but if the CC&R's state no signs then there is about 40% in violation, FOR SALE signs are posted everywhere.  How does one get this rule to be voted on next meeting ?

CC&R's are rather difficult to ammend/change.  We need 2/3 affirmative vote from homeowners...not board members, but homeowners.  Also, if the developer or builder owns ANY lot or parcel at the time of the amendment, which they still do at this time, they must approve the change in writing.  If you are interested in changing this CC&R, bring it up at the next meeting and we will send out ballots in the mail.  Just keep in mind the probability of even getting a 2/3 response from homeowners.....and that it's going to cost for postage, envelopes, and copies to send out all the ballots.

Just think of them as Election Day decorations.
