Well it has been 2 days now with NO responce from Brett at Oasis.  I have sent him 2 e-mails, 1 each day, both have been ignored.  Lovely management company we are paying for.

I'm assuming it's a question?  Also, he may very well be on vacation or sick.  Calm down.  I e-mailed on a Monday morning a few weeks back and he was out on vacation but promptly got back to me mid morning Tuesday. 

I will say the time I sent an e-mail that did not require a response there was no response given, but I've e-mailed at least 5 times and specifically requested if he could let me know or whatever the case was, where it was obvious that a response was requested and he got back to me as soon as he was back in the office.

Where you probably already covered it, make sure you have the right e-mail address.  And have you bothered to call the office to make sure he's actually in?  Lots of flus, mono, etc going around lately he could very well be out sick, and we're getting into summer he could possibly be on vacation or have taken a long weekend.

Maybe a call to their office to make sure he's actually in the office and working would solve some confusion.  If he is, then maybe ask to speak with him and explain you've sent e-mails with no response. 

Personally I've found him to be VERY attentive and VERY nice when I have spoken with him and he's never not responded to me when I've asked a specific question or asked for a response.  Now if you e-mail to say your neighbors house is full of weeds then typically no he does not respond as it doesn't require a response.

I am very critical of many things including the management companies (Kachina and Oasis) but man oh man you put me to shame .  Takes a lot more energy to be upset than happy.  Smile once in awhile for goodness sake.

LOL :)  There is your smile.  Guess I should have explained more to what my e-mail contained.  I know most people on here know of what I have been doing in the Community, guess you have been left in the dark. 

There have been a few of us going around the neighborhood with a petition for the removal of our current President and Vise-President.  This petition was given to the HOA Board last meeting, and in accordance to Arizona State Law, ballots are to be sent out not more than 15 days prior, but not less than 10 days before the meeting where these ballots will be counted. The meeting must be held within 30 days from when the petition was given to the Board.  Today is the 15th day prior to the meeting.

My e-mail to Brett was to ask him two questions. 1. If he had an estimate of the cost for the vote (mailings, postage etc.)  2. When could homeowners expect to receive the ballots.  This is not some small event.  Wasn't telling him about some neighbors weeds or a car parked in the street.  Brett knows of how important this is and the legal consequences that could follow.  For no one at Oasis to make contact is not ok. I do help pay for Oasis to be our management company, and I do not think asking him these two questions are out of line at all.  To be ignored shows a minus 2 for Oasis in my book.

No I'm not left in the dark, I read the board daily and my husband is a board member, very well informed.  But just because you're doing whatever you're doing you made no hint as to what your e-mails were to Brett, I don't typically jump to conclusions and assume it had to do with the President and VP, it really could have been about anything under the sun.  And my example of a neighbors weeds was just that an example not an exact.  You don't live here, so I realize you probably wouldn't be complaining about your neighbors weeds, but again it was simply an example.  My point was, if you weren't asking an actual question then your e-mail may not get a response, if you asked an actual question then it should be. 

If you're sending it directly to Brett's e-mail again maybe he's on vacation or sick.  Did you try calling?  Explaining to a receptionist that you've sent two e-mails with no response?

It just seems that this board has become nothing but a bitch session for a select few people.  Nobody is ever on to say anything nice, it becomes a bitch session for a select few to complain about a select few things.  Could things be better at times?  Sure.  But a lot of things everywhere could.  I don't think it's right for Oasis or Brett to ignore you, but the old saying of you get more flies with honey than with vinegar sometimes does hold true.

Not saying you don't have the right to complain, but geez-o do you EVER have anything pleasant to say too. 

Just getting tired of this message board soley being used as a bitch session.
