Castlegate Community

We just moved to the neighborhood a couple of weeks ago. I think that a block party would be a lot of fun and a good way to meet our new neighbors! I think that flyers would need to be distributed throughout the neighbor hood. Also, a community yard sale is a good way to bring people outside and meeting eachother!

All of this could be placed in a Nice Community News Letter, one that actually gets delivered to each homeowner.

I am all for getting together to do something. I have 2 small children as well, but I can make time for a ladies event if I know in advance when it is.  I am from back East where we all knew are neighbors, we had events, hung out, etc.  I really miss it.  Just say when and where and I am in! 

We are having the 1st Annual Shetland Drive Chili Cook-off starting at 5pm on Halloween night. Everyone is invited to either bring a pot of chili or just come to taste a sample of others' famous chili. We will have everything else included (meaning chips, napkins, spoons, blah, blah...), but you are invited to bring your own beverage. It is a safe and sane BYOB as well as (obviously) kids can chill out after their fun in trick or treating. We will have a few barrels for the kids (or adults if you dare) for bobbing for apples. Just hang out and enjoy the fire pits. We do this ever year and want to get others involved to bring our community closer. Hope to see you there! :)
