I'm thinking the lights OUTSIDE the garage - These light would illuminate the driveway, thus deterring anyone walking down the street looking for easy prey.

A security system is great, but this does not do much for vehicles in the driveway.

Have spent the AM telling my neighbors what happened - They tell me that this has been going on for a while.  Apparently, car break-ins are nothing new to Castlegate.

Wish my garage was bigger - Already have a boat in there - It's pretty tight in there with the car as well.

Be safe, and watch each other!

One of our neighbors truck was broken into last night and he lost a lot of tools. Most of us have the porch lights and garage lights on each night. Some of us are getting motion sensing lights too. There was a block watch and bicycle patrol in Castlegate but when the Sherrif Dept cut the overtime out they went away. The HOA Persident said they are organizing a COP (citizens on patrol) unit out here. Contact him if you want to take the training.

Mglvr contact Mike at Zigsman@aol.com to get information for the citizens on patrol.  As I understand it's 1 day of classroom training and a few hours of driver's training.  Then you donate the time you can.  You get a marked PCSO vehicle that you patrol the neighborhood in and call on the radio for a deputy if you see anything suspicious.

I will also be getting the neighborhood watch program back in effect after the holidays.  If you scroll down a few posts you will find information on both the neighborhood watch and my contact info if you want to help, as well as information on the Citizens on patrol.

Sorry for sounding lazy, or unorganized, but do you have a contact number for him - I would be willing to contact him if it would help.

Thanks!
