CRIME REPORT; 11-05-10
Good morning!!!!! Here are a few examples of overnight incidents. Officer Garrett responded to a disturbance call in the 700 block of Cockerell. Officer Garrett contacted one of the involved parties, who was a 20 year old female. The subject had an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear. She was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance and was arrested for both offenses. Officer Ward stopped a vehicle in the 1200 block of North Mockingbird. The driver, a 20 year old male, was intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (with an open container). The subject was also found to be in possession of a dangerous drug and was charged with that offense as well. This incident is the 555th DWI in Abilene since January 1st. We would like to congratulate Sgt Craig Jordan on his selection as the department Public Information Officer and Intelligence Unit supervisor.
