Are you planning on going out of town over the holidays? Then make sure your house looks the same as when you are home.
If you always have an RV parked in your yard, EVERYONE will know when it's gone you are gone. Start storing that RV to quit advertising you are gone.
Do you only use your porch light when going out? Use it EVERY night, then it will not advertise your absence. Use a low energy bulb to save money. Then when you go out of town you can leave it on, and no one will know the difference!
Do you have floodlights? Then use them, to save energy put them on motion detectors.
Stop the paper & mail when gone or ask a neighbor to pick them up.
Make sure that doors that are not easily visible from the street are secure and well lit. And, if you have a fenced yard, lock all the gates from the inside before leaving.
