CRIME REPORT; 12-13-10

 

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered over the weekend…

 

At about 6:35 P.M. last night, Officer Scott responded to an accident in the 1000 block of North Clack.  Upon arrival he contacted a 41 year old male who was the driver of one of the vehicles.  This subject had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and had difficulty maintaining his balance.  The subject did provide a breath sample which was over the legal limit.  He was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

At about 9:43 P.M. last night, Officer Bryan stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Cockerell for an expired registration and a license plate light violation.  After contacting the driver, a 22 year old male, it was found that he had a warrant for his arrest.  This warrant was for an unpaid traffic ticket for no insurance. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

Finally at about 9:45 P.M. last night, Officer Volirakis responded to a disturbance call in the 300 block of Western Hills.  Upon arrival he observed, a 25 year old male yelling profanities in a front yard.  This subject was warned about his language and complied for a short time.  He then began to yell profanities again causing an immediate breach of the peace.  He was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

CRIME REPORT; 12-14-10

 

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 8:20 P.M. last night, Officer Scott responded to an accident in the 6800 block of West HWY 80.  Upon contacting the drivers, he spoke with a 34 year old male.  This subject stated that he was driving and struck another vehicle.  The male subject had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from him.  He was transported to a local hospital for treatment from the accident.  While at the hospital a blood sample was taken and the preliminary tests showed he was over the legal limit.  Once he was cleared, he was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

At about12:40 A.M. this morning, Officer Richardson stopped a vehicle for making a wide right turn.  After contacting the driver, a 30 year old male, Officer Richardson returned to his patrol car to run a warrant and license check on this subject.  While running these items, the male driver exited the vehicle and began to evade on foot.  After a short foot pursuit, he was caught.  It was found that he had five warrants for his arrest.  He was charged with these warrants and evading arrest. 

 

Finally, at about 1:10 A.M., Officer Villarreal responded to a major accident in the 1800 block of HWY 83/84.  After contacting one of the drivers, a 22 year old male, it was found that he was intoxicated.  He did perform the field sobriety tests and did not pass.  He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

CRIME REPORT; 12-15-10

 

Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 4:00 P.M. yesterday afternoon, Officer Brannon responded to a disturbance call in the 1100 block of South 9^th.  Upon arrival he learned that a female had been assaulted by her boyfriend, a 21 year old male.  This male subject used a knife during this assault.  He was placed under arrest for the assault.  It was also discovered that he had given the officers the wrong name also.  His real name was discovered and he had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.  He was charged with Aggravated Assault, Fail to ID and the two warrants and transported to the Taylor County Jail.

 

At about 10:14 P.M. last night, Officer Becker was traveling west bound in the 900 block of East HWY 80.  The vehicle in front of him drove into the median and side swiped a light pole and continued driving.  Officer Becker stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, a 24 year old male.  It was found that this subject was intoxicated.  He performed the field sobriety tests and failed.  He was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

 

Finally, at about 12:05 A.M. this morning, Officer Shriver responded to a call of a burglary in progress in the 1700 block of Corsicana. Upon arrival she contacted a 21 year old male who had blood on his hands.  While speaking with the subject it became obvious that he was highly intoxicated.  He stated the blood on his hands had come from punching things because he was mad.  He was placed under arrest for Public Intoxication as he was an obvious danger to himself and others.

CRIME REPORT; 12-16-10

 

 

 Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24 hours…

 

At about 6:05 P.M. last night, Sgt. Hancock stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Vine for disobeying a red light.  Upon contacting the driver, a 22 year old female, it was learned that she did not have a valid driver’s license.  During the stop it was also found that she had two warrants for her arrest.  She was arrested and charged with these warrants and also running the red light and driving without a valid driver’s license. 

 

At about 7:10 P.M. Officer Shriver responded to a disturbance call in the 5400 block of South 7^th.  This was the second call of the night at this location.  Upon arrival Officer Shriver learned that a female subject had been assaulted by a 31 year old male.  The male subject was no longer at the residence.  While Officer Shriver was speaking with the victim, she heard a call over her radio for an armed subject across the street from her location.  Since the male subject was not on scene Officer Shriver responded to this priority call.  As she responded across the street, she saw the 31 year old male heading toward the victim’s residence.  The male was stopped and taken into custody.  It was found that a cell phone in his pocket was the phone used to call in the armed subject across the street.  This male subject was charged with a 3^rd Degree Felony, Injury to a Disabled Person as the victim in this case was disabled and also charged with False Report as there was no armed subject.
