Good Morning! Here are some examples of calls answered in the past 24hrs…
Yesterday afternoon at about 1:50 PM agents of the Special Operations Division stopped a car in the 3000 blk of S 15 for failing to signal a turn. A K-9 was called to do a sniff of the car but before the K-9 arrived the agent saw what appeared to be meth amphetamine in a plastic baggie in plain sight. A search was conducted and the male driver was arrested for Delivery of approximately 6 grams of Meth Amphetamine. There was a female passenger also in the car who was searched and was in possession of approximately 3.8 grams of Meth Amphetamine. She was also charged with Delivery of Meth Amphetamine
At about 12:00 last night officer Jeff Farley stopped a car in the 2200 blk of S 14th. The male driver appeared intoxicated and failed the field sobriety tests. A breath test was administered and the results were 0.118 and 0.120, the legal limit being 0.08. The driver was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
And finally at about 3:00 this morning Sgt Jason Haak stopped a car in the 2800 blk of Post Oak. The driver appeared intoxicated and failed the field sobriety tests. The driver was placed under arrest and found to be in possession of Zanex and Hydrocodone without a prescription. The driver was transported to a medical facility where he consented to a blood draw. He was charged with Possession of Hydrocodone, Possession of Zanex, Driving While Intoxicated, and Driving With License Invalid.
