It seems a business is being operated out of one of the townhouses on Thomas Brigade Lane. I'm not sure if this is allowed in the HOA regs, but if you've noticed the white vans that have appeared in the last couple of months, well, they are for the Heating/AC business being run out of this rental unit in the neighborhood. I'll have to check with Fairfax County to see if a business license has been obtained for this business. Then I'll have to check with Cedar Lakes Community Association to see what the regulations are on this.

Our quarterly dues are going up to almost 300 dollars and I feel we should not have to tolerate white service vans and businesses being run out of residential homes. I am just getting started complaining about this.

Thanks for the info. It is interesting that the same business operator now has a van with a logo on it parked behind and around the townhouse he is renting. Granted, it is an "Enterprise Rental Van" logo, but it is a logo nonetheless. Also, as far as zoning goes, in a PDH-20 zone no business shall be permitted unless it was part of the original plan submitted and approved by the County.

I am with you in that I do not care for people running a business in our neighborhood and promoting it with logo wrapped vehicles drawing in unnecessary traffic.

Give the county a call and see what you can do in reporting what appears to be a violation. If they agree, report it to the HOA with your proof. You know the HOA is going to make you do all the work before they even THINK about doing anything. Good luck getting "Wade" to do anything. The management company gets paid whether he does anything or not. ha-ha!
