This appears to be an outstanding forum for neighbor to neighbor contact when an individual or family is stranded because of severe weather, illness, or inability to get in touch with others.
Surely there are some folks with snow removal equipment, who have the time and strength to check on a neighbor.
How about a list of available young folks with snow removal equipment who could make themselves available to assist those who are no longer able to do this heavy work themselves.
And how about a heads up to those neignbors, (the cork in the bottle, so to speak) who for their own convenience choose to park their cars on the street for a quick getaway, only to leave the neighbors who need to go past them, stranded for days or more because the plows could not clear both sides of the street, nor see past the cars in the road to observe that the rest of the road has not been ploughed.
