Colonial Acres

I live on Cranford, and the neighbor owning the abandoned house at 1524 Cranford needs to do something with their yard again. 

The shrubs are almost to the roof and are covering most of the windows.  I've had to trim some of the shrubs back as they were almost in my carport.

The large tree in front is lifting the shingles from the roof, and the siding/gutters in the back and in the carport area are collapsing.  I am constantly having to trim limbs from the tree to keep them from my driveway. 

This house is an eyesore to the community, and the owner does not respond to phone calls.

I have reported this house to the city, but have not seen or heard any action from the city or the owners.

Would some of you guys be willing to help by filing complaints with the city?  Any other suggestions?

Yes,  I will join you in sending in complaints.  I think I know the house you are talking about.  It's a shame you have to deal with that right next door and have to look at it every day.  I would be upset too.

I feel you are within your rights as a resident homeowner to trim back anything that crosses over your property line from vacant property,  even trees.

There are several yards in the area that could use a little "help" but one that seems abondoned or neglected should be first priority.  I would not want it next door.
