Gunshots in Neighboorhood

Posted in: Colonial Acres

Can anyone tell me what is going on????

On Sunday morning, October 5, 2008, around 4:30AM my husband, several neighboors and I were woken up by several gunshots.  I had it in my head they were firecrackers - since I was a child, I was told not to be paranoid because fireworks sounded so much like gunshots; however, my husband and the other neighboors insist it was the real thing this time and then we heard sirens to follow.

We just want to know wat happened.  What street was it?  It had to be near us- Mockingbird Rd. and Colonial Rd./Ivy Rd.

Does anyone know anything?  This is too close to home....

Thanks,

Mindy

There have been several reports of this lately.

Have you noticed any new neighbors "renters" perhaps who are a bit suspect?

i.e. lots of quick traffic at the house?

i head all of that. . and from a distance. I am on the back end of flamingo. nothing on the news or anything. odd.

Ok fellow colonians.  My name is joey cole pepper.   I reside with the hummingbirds ha ha ha!   I was concerned with the gunfire that rattled my windows as well as my dinner.  I did a lot of thinking and had so many questions who,  what ,  where , how.  For the last 2 week I have been deep undercover inside the acres befriending the lowest of the low in the 117.  And having done this, I bring you the answers you all have about "the gunfire that may have been firecrackes".  It indeed was gunfire.  However,  no one or nothing was struck.  It seems that the people of the  red zone and the folks of the  orange zone in colonial acres are having a turf war.  These shotssignified the beginning of what is said to become a long term struggle.
