Debi,
It may be easier to sign up for the MPD's daily CyberWatch email on this page: https://kiosk.memphispolice.org/cyberwatch/cyberwatch_signup.html
Once you've signed up by listing your address, etc, you'll get a daily email w/ all crimes within up to a 3 mile radius of your location for the past 30 days. You may want to limit it to .5 or 1 mile to reduce the amount of data.
The daily email includes each crime address rounded off to the nearest 100 block, ie, 5100 Quince. Each crime record includes a link to a Google map of the location w/ a marker on the block involved, and a link to the police case number which usually provides some info, for example, what was taken in a burlgary, or what type of vehicle was stolen. Here's a sample: 811009759ME n/a Shoplifting/Felony 11/18/08 5100 QUINCE On the email, the case number on the left and the addess on the right appear as hyperlinks.
Also, the MPD's Real Time Crime Center: https://kiosk.memphispolice.org/realtime/
maps reports of all crimes within the past 24 hours, or the latest 50 crimes, and is updated every 10 minutes. You can double click the map and zoom in on the area you want. It allows you to select the type of crime.
Email canasafety@gmail.com if you want more information.
Hope this helps.
