Thanks BA
Thanks for the kind words. As for BBW, I feel he needs to step into the residents shoes who have had this thrust into their laps. I read in various places and see on "news" programs how the people in Countryside are upset about the plutonium in the soil at the jail site. That has never really been the concern. Most of the concerns from my neighbors are in regards to the safety and operating guidlines of the jail. When Broomfield repeated lies to us, how are we to trust that our concerns are being heard and considered.
A Final not to BBW -- Jail phobia my not be such a bad thing!!

To Tony B.
There is strong validity in your argument about plutonium; all the way to the personal level with me; but if I put it on the board; it will easily identify me. One of the reasons I moved to BF was move by the council to assure BF water was safe from the effects of plutonium contamination. For the personal reason, I mentioned above; this was of utmost importance to me.
Secondly, the methods in achieving the vote from the state assembly and citizens of Colorado were based on actions that deviated from the standard acceptable practices in this community. BF is trying to defend the legality of their decisions; not all decisions are ethical. If ethical could be defended legally; we would not have criminals freed because of errors in technicality; such as search warrants and television statements that cannot be used. As you have learned from this board; the jail is only one of the deceptions of BF CC's urgency to take the vote to ballot.
BBW is probably no different than you or I; but he is so entrenched in the entire process; that he cannot see the other side.
Being a BF resident; I am both vulnerable and automatically receptive to the decisions of the council. I have chosen to devote myself to the success of this group; there will be subjects BBW and I cannot agree upon; that's OK.
Stay with us Tony B. Your assistance and insight are valued.

If everyone had a jail phobia, we would have no jails. If all areas acted like Country Side, there would be no jails. We need jails. A jail 11/2 miles away from Country Side is not close to Countryside.
Broomfield has not lied to you or to anyone else. Br. Anon. and I have a very different view of things.
If you want to know about the safety and operating guidelines for the jail. I suggest you call Police Chief Tom Deland or Commander Tim Hersey. These gentlemen have the highest of ethics and I'm sure they would be happy to talk with you.

Not true. A jail 11/2 miles from Country Side is not close to Country Side. It is a good site for the jail. County jails do not pose dangers. Every existing county jail in the Denver metro area is closer to residential areas than Broomfield's jail will be to Country Side.
