Continue to discuss Broomfield County formation in a professional manner.

For Br. Anon. and Br2

It seems to me that the IGA between Boulder County and Broomfield is a fair agreement for both. I doubt that the Boulder County Commissioners or the Broomfield City Council would have approved the IGA if that were not the case. It is wrong to say that Broomfield citizens had no opportunity to comment on the IGA. There was full opportunity for citizens to do so at the Council meeting at which it was considered. It should also be noted that since this was an intergovernmental agreement, it required a two thirds vote of the entire City Council for approval.
I get the feeling that no matter what the Broomfield city government does, the two of you will find fault with it and post it on this board.

For Joan

I find it interesting that a Westminster citizen would refer to Broomfield as "pro growth." How would you label your own city?

In case you don't know (but I think you do), a resolution has NO PUBLIC HEARING and no notice requirement. I certainly don't recall any advance notice of this IGA (please tell me when and where it was published if there was any), and I know it was a big surprise to many.

What about the deception involved in trying to claim nearly 6000 acres for the Master Plan when less than 1000 acres are being paid for?
