BBW - I certainly appreciate that you are taking your time to be on this board. I am equally curious though about who you are. I am sure we could talk about a lot of these issues.

You mentioned in prior postings that you have answered all these questions, and that you have, but there are still three of mine you have not responded to.

1. Was there a public hearing held by Council which discussed the findings of the February county feasibility study?

2. Why won't Broomfield officials demand that the Authority obtain a vote from the people of Broomfield and those persons within the jurisdiction of the freeway prior to proceeding with the plans to build it?

3. If DRCOG does not accept the NW Freeway, will the Authority then proceed with it anyway?

For Adrian - The Truth

I presume the truth is what we all want. But, you did not fully answer my question. It's a fair question that can be anwered in a few words. Before I take the time to repond to your many questions, tell me what the purpose is. Tell me how I can benefit from it. More importantly, tell me how CVELG and Broomfield can benefit from it. Thank you.

Not Sure

I would normally agree, but in this case it is a direct correlation with information that is shared. If BBW insists on spouting such rhetoric and personal attacks, then I would like to know the source and therefore the credibility of the statements. I truly believe that BBW is a Broomfield official or a team of officials. Messages written by BBW have even suggested it. That would explain much of the hostility and opposition to allowing Colorado voters to know the truth of the issue.

It is somewhat understandable that the average citizen of Broomfield would be afraid to speak out against their government. You more than most are aware of this based on the number of residents who have acknowledged such fear. I would not expect them to identify themselves. Furthermore, their comments and questions do not demand the same validation.

Ultimately, I firmly believe that if some cause is considered just and if the convictions of a person are strong enough to create change, then hiding behind anonymity only serves to diminish the potential of that person to achieve success. We have always made our identities known. We have always opened ourselves to criticism, some legitimate and some not. We always will. There are few things more comforting than never having to hide anything.

You are definitely welcome on this board from my point of view. You are being fair to me; we do disagree; but so what; neither of us will be arrested for disagreement; and we are offering each other insight into our reasons for involvement. I appreciate your efforts to clarify. I don't mind the Colorado flag, it beats one from a totalitarian society.
I missed the posting on the "parking lot assault"; however, I will say this; I did visit an area where CVLEG was working for petitions. To be perfectly honest; they had so many questions to answer from those approaching them; they didn't have time to go to the cars in the parking lot. It is an unfortunate instance; sorry it happened, time to move on.
As for the insight I am receiving from BF officials on CVLEG; they are not taking the effots of this group seriously. No one seems to believe that they will get the number of qualified signatures; that people do not want to be told they made a mistake the first time they voted (everyone wants to appear informed) and will not admit they made a mistake; therefore BF does not have to worry about CVLEG. What are you getting?
