No Information Out

The Current Council does not seem to want to get any information out to the residents.

A reporter from the Westside Messenger has not been in attendance for 2 of the 3 meetings this year so the residents are not getting any information from that source.

My last year on the Council I tried to make sure that we sent out a newsletter quarterly. I have learned recently that the new Council will only be sending out a newsletter twice a year. That does not seem to be enough to me.

For those that cannot attend meetings it is difficult to get information from the current council. I do not understand why the current council would be afraid to share information with the residents. It seems the Westside Messenger cannot be counted on as a source of information.

There was a flyer passed out about the Easter Egg Hunt on April 8th. I have to say that I am disappointed in the Current Council and Mayor in their seemingly lack of communication with the residents.
What Else Is New?

How many council members are there? From what was put on the site there are only 3 or 4.

Paul, 2 newsletters a year is not enough.

I was disapointed in the past council and mayor. You should have been too. I am also disapointed with the current tribe.

They don't want anyone to know what is going on. It took you a long time to realize that.

I lot of people were duped into voting them in.

It is a shame that some of you refused to pass the drug testing ordinance. One slipped in. What about the one who was fired from their job for stealing?

What about the hundreds of thousands of dollars scammed from traffic fines? And where did it go? Where did the money go from the fraud in public works? OPWC gave me the records. IRS, pension funds and workman's comp gave me the records. Why did Russolillo and Brad Smith go to OPWC to ask what they gave me?

There should have been investigations into peoples backgrounds before they were voted into office or given a seat.

They is no one in office now to get information and ask the tough questions.

Better late than never, congratulations on the birth of your son!

Good To Hear From You

There are 6 Council Members. The Council appointed two people to the open seats. The most recent addition to the Council is a gentleman that has lived in the Village for approximately 18 months. I am afraid that I do not even know the man's name as I have not been able to attend any of the meetings because of my work schedule and the Westside Messenger has not been coming to the meetings. I guess it is not exciting enough for them.

I agree that more than two newsletters need to be sent out to keep the residents informed. Last year three were sent out. Even with three issues sent out, there was not a lot of content as the Mayor and many of the Council members could not seem to find the time to write up an article.

I am afraid that I do not share your disappointment with the past Council. As the President of Council for the previous two years I believed that the Village made great strides. My fear now is that the current Council will remove some of the safeguards that I helped put in place because they will not think about the future of the Village and do a little homework to better understand the issue.

Are you referring to the Drug Testing Ordinance for public officials? The Village has a drug testing policy in place for the police officers. If you meant a drug test for elected public officials I believe that cannot be done according to the Ohio Revised Code.

I have to say I do not know what you are talking about missing money. No ticket money has ever been found to be missing from the audits done of the Mayor's Court Clerk's office. I also do not know who you are referring to about being fired for stealing.

It is up to the voter to do their research and look into the candidates that they will be voting for in an election. How deeply one wants to look is their choice.

I have faith in some of the Council Members that they are asking the tough questions and will not make decisions that could hurt the Village. My personal belief is that some are not looking at the issues as deeply as they need to be and may be given incorrect information or not enough information. I hope that changes, but I will do my best to keep a watch on what is happening in the Village.

Thank you for your congratulations. I look forward to the many years of fun as my son grows older.
Is No One Interested?

The drug teating was to be for elected officials too. It is a shame that one now sits on council. He would not seek a seat when the drug testing was being asked for.

As for stealing, the former employer said that it made his stomach crawl when he heard this person was running for office. This person had the nerve to tell the residents that I stole and was a drug addict. It was on the internet.

As they say be careful what you wish
for. You now have what was campaigned against me.

I am sure you would have no trouble figureing out who these people are. It is common knowledge.

Believe me, they know about each other. When you have a thief and drug user, there will be trouble.

The increase in traffic fines was never requested from the auditor.
