Post your thoughts, opinions, questions, answeres, etc.
But let's keep the mud slingin' to a minimum. Non of us get better by bashing or by being bashed - And getting better is what it's all about.

For BBW
My intent is to ask honest valid questions of you, and I am still perplexed as to why you avoid them.
If Broomfield officials truly believe deep in their soul that their path is just, then defend your actions. You must know a fair number of your citizens are not at all pleased with how they are shut out of the process. Their tax dollars paid for the first feasability study and since you won't answer our queries, that leads us to the assumption that the first feasability study strongly suggested forming a county was NOT in the best interest of the citizens. Our group has a copy of that study. Your group tabled the information. You hid it from the people who paid for it.
Citizens of Broomfield were robbed of the opportunity to know all of the factors. Hell, obviously the entire state of Colorado was robbed of this cherished right. Freedom of information.
On the issue of blight: perhaps Interlocken is attempting to hide Superior's blight by building monstrous structures? Unfortunately they both disgracefully deny the treasured view of the Boulder Flatirons.
Regardless, I am not a Superior resident. We are on the web after all. I could live in Denver, Washington DC, or London. For that matter, I could live next door!
Your reference of where I reside is absurd. Where I park my feet every night is not the issue. Lack of ethics and accountability on the part of the Broomfield city government is.
I ask you again sir. Why was the first feasability study hidden from Broomfield citizens?

Request to Cheryl
I am a Westminster resident following the discussion on this board. I have a request to make of you.
Keep an open mind and please do not get upset with my post.
The internet is a remarkable tool. Never before have people been afforded such a forum to express views, opinions, and share facts. I have followed this discussion board for some time, and many others I know follow it too.
You all are very passionate about your issues. This is good! And sometimes I see too much of a good thing.
I see too much energy going towards attacks and put downs. Both sides have done this. I only ask you to consider the following: Does your post bring greater understanding to the issues at hand? Or does it serve to inflame the opposition and deepen the rift?
If it is the latter, please consider my request before you post.
Keep this forum a dignified useful dialogue, and everyone benefits.
There was a comment about Mr. Brunner and his personal problems noted in the paper. "Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone". Show compassion instead of contempt. There are 2 sides to every story, and you can be sure the paper has not printed the entire story. Mr. Brunner is human and he has made some mistakes, but don't we all?
Mr. Brunner is not the issue here. Your issue of ethics and the Nov. 98 county vote is.
I support the group CVELG and their efforts in uncovering any injustice. I would like to see much less talk of the jail and more dialogue on how Broomfield got to the 11/98 vote. Mr. BBW is avoiding certain questions. That does not wash with the citizens.
Thank you

Westy Window
I Finally picked up my Window today. I didn't see a single thing in it about the re-hearing. WUWT (as lr says - what's up with that).
No matter what opinion or perception someone has of what went on at it, it IS news. Did they just go to press before they had anything to write - or what?
I saw the article on Bruner. Clearly, the guy has problems. Intrestingly, I've heard 2 people (who know him well) comment that he is really a pretty decent guy - just going thru some bad times - or whatever.
Personally, I would like to keep my focus on the political issues here. Actually, I don't care what these guys do in their off time. It's what affects the citizens and community that I want to concentrate on.
