I am familiar with the plans for the Northwest Parkway from I-25 to US 36 and SH 128 (north segment). My knowledge regarding the Parkway from SH 126 to Golden and a connection with C470 is limited.
Neither Boulder County nor the cities of Broomfield, Lafayette, and Louisville want to see the north segment result in more development and sprawl. The intergovernmental agreement among these entities focuses on substantial additional open space along the north segment corridor. This open space will prevent strip development along the north segment and will help to prevent any additional sprawl effects. It is a very good intergovernmental agreement.

Thanks for the note regarding the NW Parkway article in the RMN.
I do not profess to know all of Westminster's thoughts. Here's what I do know regarding Westminster. At one time, Westiminster favored a Parkway route that would be east of Rocky Flats. The city of Arvada apparently favors a Parkway route that would be west of Rocky Flats. Westminster and Arvada were negotiaing on this. I heard Westminster had changed its position and was favoring a route west of Rocky Flats. Then, I heard that Westminster wasn't sure if Westminster would benefit from the Parkway. Don't know what Westminster's current position is.

I think both Boulder County and Broomfield are pleased with their open space agreement. I don't think it's a matter of who takes the credit. Boulder County acquired this open space and Broomfield has the right to enjoy this open space as well as all of Boulder County's open space.

Help me with something. CVELG says that the city/county deserves another look so that voters will be more informed. If CVELG does not plan an extensive statewide campaign, how are voters statewide going to be more informed? Thanks.
