You're Back - How Nice

Oliver, It just wasn't the same with out you. You can really break the monotonous tone of this board with your wit. We have all enjoyed it from time to time. Thanks, but in this case, no thanks.

I've spoken with BF residents who were intimidated by their city council - and I don't mean just disrespected or ignored. I mean they felt threatened. And their stories made me feel ill. It is sad that you joke about someone else's fear or pain. I can only assume that you are not aware of these things - that you've never heard a story like these from someone you cared about.

Yes, I do care to hear it. I have been begging for answers to my questions. To be honest, this makes a lot of sense. Each county might consider it a burden to fund some services knowing that only a portion of the city is the responsibility of the county. I have a simple question in return. Why not consolidate into one of the already existing counties? This is an objective question. It just seems that it would have solved many of the problems with much less time, money, and effort.

By the way, asking a citizen "what do you care?" is bad form. It would be wonderful if we all cared.

You Noticed That?


I too noticed that "Oliver" and "John" starting posting more messages once we pointed out that we knew there were several people behind the BBW pseudonym. Funny they would use almost the identical sarcastic tones and means of diversion that the earlier BBW messages featured. I am sure they will disappear once we move to a board that does not allow anonymous postings.

Did you also find it amusing when it was reported that the Broomfield City Council was not at all concerned with CVELG and would not give us a second thought? We might as well rename this board "Broomfield CC Discussions!"
