Repeal Broomfield County

Posted in: Country Side
to Anon & BA

I see something else happening in the community of Broomfield...

The testimonials about reprisal by certain elected officials against citizens who strongly oppose certain issues the council wants passed.

General voter apathy is across the board, and in Broomfield, it is further complicated by a real threat of personal ruin because one exercises their constitutional right of freedom of speech.

Ignoring the voice of citizens is a shame... setting out to ruin those citizens is reprehensible.

I know what you mean about being vocal. I've talked to my neighbors, some say, well, keep us posted...some have internet access and could keep up with issues if they chose, they are lazy in my opinion. Most people these days figure it doesn't do any good anyway so why should I take time out of my busy schedule? Today's society needs a reality check, we elect the officials and it is up to us to make sure they do what they say they will do. Of course, Clinton is a prime example, he just gets a slap on the hand, its "ok" to do what he did.,

What is reprehensible is your fairy tale. Your post is pure bull. You don't know anything about Broomfield and stop pretending that you do. Your tripe is disgusting.

Dear John

Definition of Broomfield - sprawl generator, wildlife destroyer, autocratic leadership, guaranteed to screw you on water rights, likes to play economic games with neighboring cities, makes unethical decisions, council members are either incredibly stupid or are grossly negligent.

John, next time you are in Interlocken, take a look at what Broomfield has created and you give me one reason why people should not believe the way they do about Broomfield. If you cannot see it then I feel very sorry for you.

Sullivant says it all, it is the cities like Broomfield that illustrate why Colorado needs a responsible growth act. Why it is time for the State to come in and give control back to the region that local governments like Broomfield are screwing up.

Oh, by the way Broomfield did a nice job on Superior with the water rights. You held this city by the balls just so they could afford some decent water, now just look at! What did you do call in all the water agreements to make them create rapid development to pay off some water bond arrangement? Don't tell us you had nothing to do with this disaster of a development. Oh, yeah, like Berens said, we did Superior a favor!

Go ahead call me chicken, you are a very sick person and I pray you are not the council member this board thinks you are!
