Correction: It was learned by the undersigned that a burglary did occur on Westport Road just east of the Walden School.  The address of the burglary was given to Chief Carter to forward  to the investigating Detectives with the St. Matthews P.D.

I know you probably don't have a lot of details, but does this burglary seem to fit the pattern of the others in the area with regard to time of day, items taken, method of entry?

I guess burglaries are somewhat common everywhere, but for some reason this situation (that it continues to happen) really scares me...

Man arrested in series of burglaries

Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man in connection with a string of home burglaries resulting in several wallet and purse thefts in the Brownsboro Road-Goose Creek area of northeastern Jefferson County.

Ricky Patterson, 20,dob 7/4/88 of Louisville, has been charged with multiple counts of burglary, according to an arrest citation.

The burglaries, which occurred in Goose Creek neighborhoods such as Murray Hill and Meadow Vale, as well as off Brownsboro Road near Ballard High School and Springhurst, began in January of last year and continued through December.

They would generally occur between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. when residents were asleep. Patterson would allegedly enter through back doors and windows to get purses or wallets visible from the outside, and then escape through the back yard.

Thanks for posting this. It may not be our man because my robbery was during the day while I was out and electronics and jewelry were taken. However, it's worth following up on to make sure.
