I am interested in receiving comments concerning the proposed deerfield bylaws and convents.

Thank you

My wife and I built our home here in Deerfield in 1991 and have been vey happy with our neighbors, the association and security. The bylaws do however need updating. And if what has been proposed by the delegated commitee is what is called for, then I say it is time for change. Two points however, 1) If we have over 740 families and each one pays dues of $500.00 a year (Thats $370,000.00 +) where has all this money gone over the last 11 years? 2) On page 15 of the latest 'Deerfield Dialogue' The PYRMAS Company is runninng an ad for 'Rental Property' in Deerfield - Is this really what we want? The more rentals, the less permanent are our neighbors, the less maintenance is done on yards and houses and the less the By-laws and coventents are enforced. (An example is the house next door to us - it has been on the market for a year or more, is now leased out and the yard is in need of ''MUCH'' maintenance!) Again is this what we want? Hopefully not! We do not want to sell and move, but if more rentals and less maintenace we might have too.
