The topics of this discussion

The subjects of this discussion board are:

1. The ACTIONS of the Broomfield City Council leading to the formation of Broomfield County.
2. The proposed NWP and its POSSIBLE connection to the county issue.
3. The differences between a democratic form of a government; the basis of American priveleges; and the "streamlined" form of government; which denies election of officials; and public input until after decisions are made by the governing body.

The questions

1. Why in publications to the voter of Colorado, not print the ballot in its entirety:
Question 2A: An Advisory Question
Shall the City of Broomfield consider placing a question the statewide general elcetion ballot that would amend the Colorado Constitution to authorize the creation of a city and county?

Why was the word "CONSIDER" changed to "PURSUE"? This is a change that is intentional; why?

2. The Northwest Parkway:
Please explain how a city buys votes on a board; and who pays the outrageous price for those votes (9 at $100,000 each). Again are we looking at taxpayer's monies being mis-used by the city; o is this being filtered through a city-sponsored entity; or is Interlocken now close to 2 million in doations to pay for the county; the study, and the votes to buy a roadway. Who truly benefits: Interlocken one and Interlocken 2 appear to be the winners; is this why Interlocken spent so much money buying and supporting the county vote effort?

3. Why did CBLG open with $11,665 in account without identifying the donors. As a political group, formed by the council of Broomfield, why the absolute need to hide the resource of this money. Is this city money or city money filtered through a city-supported entity?

4. Why the HIRED LOBBYISTS at State Assembly? Did taxpayers monies pay for the hired lobbyists? We all know CBLG ws formed by council members; did council authorize the monies to be spent for political lobbyists?

5. Public Participation in council meetings: I have posted the standard for this before.
The information about the county was in the City Manager's reports. How is this explained?

6. When were public meetings held between Feb. 21, and March 12. Please post all dates, notices, times, etc.

Thank you.

RMN--Interlocken

For those of you that may have not seen the Sunday paper yet, there is a lengthy article in there (in the business section) about Interlocken. Its interesting but scary. They talk about this becoming another Silicon Vally. There is also something in there about the new mall, funny how they left the "j" out of the little map they provided of BF projects.
