EDGEMOOR NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION

September 16, 1999

There was no business therefore no Board Meeting.

President Hawkins called the General Meeting to order at 7:30.

Minutes of May's Meeting were read by Romaine. Conrad made a motion and it was approved to accept the minutes.

Treasurer's Report was read by Tracey. $513.31.

Deanne Kimmitt spoke about speeding vehicles in the area. There was a discussion about traffic problems in the neighborhood.
Most of the attendees preferred traffic calmers to stop signs. Deanne will head a committee along with Tracey, Grace Druyor and Harold Jordon.

Jim Biggerstaff, President of C.O.N.A., spoke about the mailboxes and an item before the City Council about zoning for Social Service Agencies. He also spoke about the Florida Neighborhood Conference here in St. Pete. on October 1-2.

A motion was made by Grace and passed to pay the registration fee for one person to go to the Fla. Neighborhood Conference.

Conrad spoke about the Cona Leadership program

Skip spoke about the January elections and the need for a nominating committee. A discussion followed. Skip will talk to Judy about being on the nominating committee. Mary Burns - 526-9275 agreed to be a Board Member starting in January.

A motion was made by Conrad and seconded by Tracey to have a Doctor to speak at our next meeting.

A motion was made by Tracey and seconded by Romaine for approval to give YMCA's Neighbor to Neighbor program $100.00 for Christmas.

There was a discussion about a neighborhood newsletter or a 'Welcome to the area.' letter.

Skip read the correspondence.
There was a request for us to approve parking in our Edgemoor Park by the soccer group. We said no.
We didn't want our park torn up by vehicles or have trash thrown there, which would happen if vehicles parked there.

We have a new Code's Inspector in our area, Pat Simpson. Jennifer has been transferred to another area.
