Can you name the event which drew 66 nations, 300 companies, 24 states, 8 religions, and 52 million people from around the world to take in everything from Michelangelo's "Pieta" to brand new things like color TV, the Ford Mustang, the PicturePhone, a ride from Walt Disney called "It's a Small World," and a strange new treat known as the Bel-Gem waffle?  It was the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair, an experience that lives on in the memory of many and in America's collective consciousness.  Come learn more about the fair and my book "The End of the Innocence" at one of my three talks at bookstores over the next few months:
