Street Paving

Looks like they aren't on the schedule they initially mentioned to me. I have asked many times about them finishing the ditches and overlaying the streets. They always say next week or two weeks from now. I suggest that all of you contact Danny Harrell who is our councilman, he can be reached at 573-8013. Maybe we can get something done collectively especially since this is an election year for him. Thanks, Dwight.

Dwight,

Will the parish install the culverts? What do i need to do in order to fill in my ditches?

Also, I would like to know when a fountain will be installed on the other lake? How much is it to install the fountain?
Culverts

I called the permit office in Livingston to verify the proper way to do this. We had to pay a $15 permit charge and the parish will come and shoot the grade at the correct depth. In most cases there is a waiting period but the parish was coming out here to do someone else's so they did mine also. And since the parish is suppose to come back to complete the work they did not finish, maybe you could request that they do it when they come back.

Make sure that a permit is given before any work is done. The parish will remove any culvert that does not have a permit even if it is filled in. After grade is shot, make sure that you have all the drains(I think there is suppose to be 1 every so many feet, maybe 60 but verify with them) and pipes(they will tell you the size required for your street, 12 or 15 inch) and the dirt fill ready. A neighbors pipe came up when it rained because dirt wasn't completely filled in.
