We've been told since day one that my area (Salado Trail) only owned 1/2 its mineral rights, even verified it with a abstract title company. We received our check yesterday and it was for the full amount, as was our neighbors. Guess that pitty party and all the whining others did in our area was for nothing! I am thankful to the RTHA for all they did, 1/2 or 100% - its a good thing and can't wait for the new wall!
Got Check - Not 1/2, it was 100%!! Whohooo!

Just a reminder that some people will get 50% and some will get 100%. The gas company will have to research the title and deed for EVERY lot. GENERALLY, the houses west of Tigres and south of Perdenales have a 50% restriction. It all depends on where you live and what the past deeds show. Also, the gas companies have agreed to pay extra for 1/2 of the street in front of your house. So even if you are in the 50% part, you will get more than 1/2 of what your lease says. After all the leases are signed, the gas companies will survey all the lots and possibly send out another small payment. |

Yes, the bonus check is just for signing the lease so everyone who has any mineral rights at all who signs will get 100%of the bonus amount. Works for me! The extra $300 was a nice surprise too.

I guess I dont understand--we got LESS than 50% off what we were quoted. and no $300 extra either. If they were going to quote AND write on the paper that we signed what we were going to get then I think we should have gotten that amount. Did anyone else get less than 50%?
