Speed Bumps

I have always refused to patronize businesses that use speed bumps. They are private property owners, and they have the right to put any kind of impediment they want in their parking lot. I have the right to make sure they don't get my money.

The city uses my tax dollars to pave the streets, and therefore they DO NOT have the right to intentionally throw obstacles down in front of vehicles.

If you'd like to pay back the city for the cost of paving and maintaining the street and make it a private drive, then I'll support your right to do whatever you want.

Until then, you and the city are committing an atrocity against the taxpayers.

speed humps or not

Across the street on Utopia in the Highlands home division they have added a radar like sign that posts your speed as your approach it. Seems to be working as most slow down. But it takes just that 1 person who will ignore the speed limit and kill someone. So whether you like speed bumps or not, work with the city and your hoa and neighbors to find a solution. And just because you don't agree with anothers viewpoint, do not call them a ''moran''

You know for the web site manager(or x) you are not only rude, but love just to put your two cents in even if you're wrong. You talk about noise, pollution and gas savings. Yet you drive a vet the worst vehicle on gas and pollution. The atrocity will be when a child in Arrowhead Ranch gets hurt or killed. I believe in voicing your opinion, but have your facts in line first. You run to the HOA and try and throw your weight around, it will not work either. I also will email the Mayor and councilperson Martinez. We did go to them also for direction they sent us to the City of Glendale Street Department. There will be more speed humps. If the people would slow down then they would not be necessary. I just do not understand how you can complain when it is not on your street and you have not had to deal with the problems we have had. I state again we spent over a year trying to avoid this, but when I had to pull my child and my wife had to dive into the bushes to avoid being hit that was all it took. Just so you know my wife is not a moron, but she is the most intelligent, loving, caring person I will ever know. You owe her an apology. SO AGAIN GET OVER IT!!!!!
