New Speed Hump on 67th Drive

Before the city of Glendale put in the speed hump in question as requested by all the homeowners on the street and immediatelly joining, they did a traffic study. This study indicated and average of 44 vehicles per dal observed traveling more than 35 mph. We had an accident where a resident decided to pass another while they were pulling into their driveway. Not only did this do $1000's in damage to the vechiles, but there were 3 children under age 5 in the vehicle pulling into their driveway. The culprit was not only passing in a residential area, but a known speeder on the street. Why does a child have to die for people to slow down? This speed hump will not hurt any vehicle going the limit. Why do people especially those not living on the street want the right to exceed the limit? If they're going the limit, the speed hump is of no consequence. Yes, it may deter some from using our street, good. It may cause them to use the other feeder street. Solution, if they speed there, do a traffic study and get a speed hump. We on 67th drive will fully support you. I feel much safer with my children with the speed hump installed. We've been complaining to the city for eleven years along with our neighbors. Again, if Mr. Hughes does not like it, please don't drive down our street.

more speed humps coming

Noticed today that the city of Glendale is doing a traffic survey on 68th Ave to determine whether speed humps are needed. As a resident of 68th, I think it might be a good possibility that they will determine a speed hump is needed. Seems to be alot of fast traffic. And maybe after they fix the speed demons maybe they can catch the idiots who smash glass on the street.
