Dog pee kills grass

And also unfortunately, the original request and vast majority of the interactions were very polite but it was only a few comments that bothered me personally.  Again I made this worse especially by not being specific.

Was this poster at the block party?

Haven't been on here in a while and glad to see that you guys are still in attack mode.  I needed a good dose of humor today.  Thank you.  Laughing

PS.....my dog urinates in the same spot on my own front lawn each day and it has yet to turn brown.  Must be an issue with your grass.

Are you dense?  It is an issue with the fact that it his grass - the operative word there is "his" - and he has every right to ask you and others to respect that fact; no he has every right to demand that you keep your dog off his grass even if it does not pee on it.

And as far as the brown spots, I have them on my yard from dogs belonging to somebody else.  I also find those little "land mines" in my yard too that some of you didn't bother to pick up. Shame on you.

I fail to see why you and others have made such a mockery of a resident's pleasantly worded request.  He should be MAH.  SMDH  And, oh by the way, I think he offered to talk with you face to face rather than posting on here.  I assume you did that - of course you didn't you had to do your besmirking on here. - Brave Soul.  I get soooo tired .......

Having read all of these comments, I find myself agreeing with most even though some are conflicting.  I do believe that a person's yard is private, but there is an easement which belongs to the city and seems to be fair game for anything - trash from passing cars, cigarette butts, etc.; so I am a little confused how a dog's urine can be much of a problem on this easement as long as said dog doesn't go into the yard itself.

I was thinking of getting a dog as mine died a few years ago and I still miss him, but reading these comments has made me reevaluate my decision.  I would hate to be viewed as breaking some law when walking my dog.  BTW, nobody has yet addressed the cat problem and believe me when I say that unrestrained cats urinate anyplace they want and leave absolutely horrible odors along the way.  There are now 2 new cats (both gray, one with a collar) wandering around my yard.  While this irritates me a lot, I love cats and just wish that the owners would keep them in the house.
