What?  Signs???  Surely you jest...  I am expected to quietly live with the loss of my expense and labor involved in trying to have a green lawn just because I live in a neighborhood full of dogs???  I don't think so.  All I am asking is that dog owners please be responsible and respect the property rights of others;  is that too much to ask?  I have a BIG dog and I do not allow him to pee just anywhere. He also has been trained to not indiscriminately bark ...

No I wasn't jesting about the sign.  We are courteous.  I pick up the #2.  And yes, my dog does pee in other yards.

How inconsiderate!  The man nicely asked you to not let your dog RUIN his yard; he even said please.  He has that right; you do not have the right to be irresponsible to the extent of causing damage to another persons property.  And, if you do, you are NOT courteous.  I do not have a dog, but I certainly do not want your dog peeing on my lawn either.  And ... the bottom line is that I should not even have had to say that and neither should he have had to say it either.  Would you mind if we brought one of our horses in and let one of them pee in your lawn?  Horses have to pee too you know.

And that's what happens when you live in a neighborhood with people who have horses...
