Oh, so you are going to respect his property and not anyone elses? I don't want your dog peeing in my yard either. Is not the purpose to walk when you set out to "walk" the dog? Well then amigo, use that leash required by law and give it a jerk appropriate for the size of your peeing trespasser and keep him WALKING! Why would you think that private property tracts are public dog toilets??????????

I do apologize. I did see "my mailbox post" and "my yard" but since I have no idea where these are, I misunderstood that you were truly being specific.
There is a person in this neighborhood that has a symbol of a dog with "NO" on it. I do make sure to keep my dog away from their yard. I do not wish to upset or ruffle any feathers.

as a dog owner/walker you should respect all of your neighbors....... as for urine, carry a water bottle (tap water's fine) to pour over the spot, and the urine wont' burn anyone's grass. not just mr miller's. I would hope that all owners would be this respectful.
I actually see owners let their dogs walk all up into my landscaping circle, over the bricks and into my rose bushes! how is this "walking" your dog? |

I did not realize the scope of the dog pee and dog poop problem until this was posted and I started closely observing what the dog walkers were doing. Fewer than half of them carry anything to pick up the poop!!! And, as Reba has pointed out, many of them allow their dogs to go 1, 2 in flower beds tromping down the plants and damaging them as the mutts clean their feet.
Come on people, courtesy should prevail here. Remember: leash, pooper scooper with baggie, water bottle, and be discriminate about where you allow YOUR dog to TRESPASS on PRIVATE property. The only property you are legally entitled to be on is YOUR PROPERTY; and has been pointed out in an earlier post, you have no standing other than respectful welcomed guest or disrespectful un-welcomed trespasser.
Mayor, what is the official position on this issue?
